Our client is a global solar energy organization providing leading edge technology solutions across a diverse range of residential and commercial sectors.
As part of their growth, we are an engineer with experience in electrical and civil engineering in solar energy projects to join their UAE team based in Dubai.
The successful candidate must have a strong foundation in civil and electrical engineering principles for solar and renewable energy construction.
Role Summary
Electrical design – prepare electrical design drawings, load calculations,
Civil design conduct topographic surveys, design foundations and mounting structures
Assist in selecting electrical and civil, materials, components and equipment.
Prepare and review technical documents including electrical and civil design drawings, specifications, and reports.
Assist in preparing technical specifications, evaluating bids and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with contractors to resolve technical issues ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance inspections and tests to ensure compliance with electrical and civil engineering standards. Assist in identifying and rectifying non-compliance issues and deviations from project scope.
Project Coordination: Work cross-functionally to ensure effective coordination and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Support project managers in tracking project progress and milestones.
Assist in troubleshooting electrical and civil issues that arise during the commissioning or operations of solar power systems. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure proper functioning and performance of the installations.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
5 years experience in civil or electrical engineering in renewables or solar power construction and engineering projects.
Working knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes, such as NEC, IEEE, and Dubai Municipality building codes.
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Education
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering
Candidate Profile
Currently living in the United Arab Emirates must be able to live and work in Dubai.
Fluent in English good command of written and verbal English.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Agile and flexible to adapt to changing project requirements and prioritize tasks accordingly to meet project deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
