The Senior Store Manager is the senior company representative within a store location with overall responsibility to ensure the operation runs smoothly, efficiently and effectively in-line with defined SOPs for store safety, security and inventory management and the monitoring, controlling, directing and managing of the store sales team to achieve set targets, budgets and KPIs

Key Responsibilities

Manage the business: To drive, manage, monitor and report to ensure all store operations adhere to all relevant SOPs as required to ensure the operation runs smoothly and efficiently and the business interests of the company are promoted and protected at all times.
Manage the team: To monitor, control, train, develop and direct all members of the sales team to proactively, positively and politely engage with customers entering the store, identify customer needs and assist them to find, select and purchase merchandise to achieve set sales KPIs, budgets and targets.
Manage the operations: To direct and collaborate with fellow team members to ensure the sales floor area is clean and organized and ensure that our products and merchandise are neatly and appropriately displayed in line with the brand guidelines and that all appropriate safety, security and audit compliance standards are met at all times.
To manage, train, develop, motivate, direct and support all reporting team members to ensure the store is meeting its objectives, KPIs, targets and budgets and the overall needs of the organisation with regular reporting and consultation with your direct manager to maximise the smooth operational running.
To monitor the store, the merchandise and the sales team and to prioritise, communicate, assign or delegate responsibilities to ensure the store is achieving the required levels of performance and take whatever remedial action is necessary to ensure the store fulfils its designated KPIs, targets and objectives.
To ensure the store ensure and all members of the store team adhere to defined company policies and all SOPs regarding sales, inventory, security, safety, cash management and audit compliance and submit regular up-to-date accurate records and sales insights to your direct manager and the operations leadership team.
To maintain accurate, up-to-date records and submit regular reports to your manager and/or senior leadership team as required to track progress and effectiveness, ensuring activities are aligned to overall company strategy.
To constantly look for ways to improve operational effectiveness and to suggest and implement improvements to internal procedures and controls to improve efficiency, reduce costs and promote and protect the business interests of the company wherever possible.
To carry out duties as tasked, ensuring that the company service standards, objectives, internal policies & procedures and company values are met or exceeded at all times.

Qualifications And Skills

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is often preferred.
High levels of IT numeracy, analytical data processing and record keeping skills are essential.
Previous team leadership experience is essential, with a track record of driving successful results in the retail industry. Excellent customer service skills are a must, with a warm, friendly personality and customer-centric attitude.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced retail environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changes in the retail landscape, such as market trends, consumer behavior, and industry innovations.
