To manage the credit risk of the organization through strong processes and a business partnering approach.
Credit Assessment
Comply with companys credit policies to ensure strong credit procedures.
Implement credit scoring models to standardize risk assessment.
Ensure due diligence of customers credit requirements based on credit worthiness and standardized risk scores.
Evaluate collateral/security requirements and ensure adequacy of such securities.
Manage credit Limits assignments and set-up periodic credit review.
Debt Collection
Reduce the Credit exposure and overdue receivables across business channels with strong engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Put in place pro-active debt collection and follow-up processes.
Manage debt settlements by monitoring payments, following up with clients and clear account problems.
Ensure implementation of standard operating procedures and authority matrix pertaining to Credit and receivables function
Accounts Receivable
Manage customer payments process and ensure timely matching of monies received by clients to reduce unapplied cash.
Ensure timely and regular customer reconciliations.
Assesses risk of doubtful and Bad debts and maintains adequate provisions.
People Management
Supervise and provide ongoing training to credit/accounts receivable personnel
Measure department performance with appropriate metrics, acknowledge, motivate and provide support when needed
Increase personal and team knowledge in the credit profession by continually following the market trends and updates in order to achieve company goals and objectives
Bachelors degree in Business or other related
Business Graduate/ACCA/CIMA or Accounting Certification
5 years -7 years progressive experience in Credit Management and Accounts receivables, collection principles and financial statement analysis.
Experience in FMCG industry or retail background is a plus.
