Job Description
Avanceon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Control Engineer to join our dynamic team in the UAE market. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our automation and control systems. As a Quality Control Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain quality control processes, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous quality enhancement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Must be capable of handle QC related activities with respect to client and sub-contractor.
Preparation of Inspection and Test Plan based on project quality specification.
Lead the Pre-Inspection Meeting along with client and sub-contractors.
Identify areas of concern with respect to project quality of assigned projects and recommend corrective action wherever required to project team.
Review and submission of the sub-contractor QC document but not limited to WPS, PQR, NDE test procedures, PMI test procedures, Pickling and passivation procedure and painting procedures.
Should understand client quality specification and make sure everything is implemented in all the sub-contractor materials.
Report findings of inspection and test and identify non-conformities.
Check materials and equipment as delivered on site and ensure its compliance with approved materials and specification.
Maintains records of all QA/QC activities.
Monitor the calibration of all the measuring and testing equipment used at site and submit to the client if necessary.
Raise inspection notification for all the agreed witness inspection activities as per ITP.
Attend sub-vendor inspection activities which are agreed as witness along with client.
Prepare test packs for hydrotest activities.
Review of radio graph test reports and films.
Prepare FAT test procedure in coordination with mechanical and E&I teams.
Prepare FAT test reports and get punch closure from authorised client representatives.
Prepare manufacture record book compiling all the engineering documents, material test certificate, test reports and other records as per approved MRB index.
Monitor the quality of the work, identifying any risks or opportunities with related to quality in a timely manner.
Ensure that the work is carried out in a professional manner and in compliance with applicable contracts, Company policies and relevant laws and regulations.
Be prepared to perform all quality related tasks required in the initiation, execution and proper closure of the project.
Qualification & Requirements:
Experience Requirement: 5 to 7 years in relevant field.
Education: Bachelor of Engineering (BE / B.Tech) in Mechanical from a reputed university with good academic record.
Experience in quality control activities of skid fabrication, piping fabrication and structural fabrication.
Working experience in chemical dosing packages, water treatment packages, Oil & Gas skid packages would be given first preference.
Should have exposure to Saudi Aramco/ADNOC/QE Energy/PDO/Shell company specifications.
Exposure to international standards for plates, pipes, fittings, flanges valves, etc., is essential.
Should have basic knowledge on reading P&IDs, skid GA drawings and fabrication drawings.
Should have exposure in API, ASME, EN and AWS standards.
