They are recruiting an experienced and visionary Project Engineering Manager to lead their Smart City Development team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the planning, design, and execution of complex projects that leverage the latest advancements in technology and infrastructure. As a Project Engineering Manager, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of Smart City initiatives.
Project Planning and Strategy:
Develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with overall Smart City development goals.
Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Establish and implement project management methodologies to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
Lead and motivate a diverse team of engineers, architects, and technical specialists.
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving.
Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting professional growth and development.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, technology partners, and community representatives.
Ensure effective communication and coordination between all parties involved in project development.
Address stakeholder concerns and proactively seek opportunities for collaboration and partnerships.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends related to Smart City development.
Apply technical expertise to evaluate and select appropriate technologies for specific projects.
Provide technical guidance to the team and contribute to the resolution of complex engineering challenges.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor project performance and identify areas for improvement.
Budget and Resource Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
Monitor and control project expenses to meet financial objectives.
Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to secure necessary resources.
Identify potential risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
Implement robust risk management processes to safeguard project success.
Proactively address challenges and adapt project plans as needed.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in project management, with a focus on Smart City development projects.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
In-depth knowledge of Smart City technologies, urban planning, and infrastructure development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the Smart City sector.
PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
