Who is Ezra?
Ezra provides B2B digital lending solutions for emerging markets in partnership with mobile and digital wallet operators and financial service providers. Ezra supports 24 operations in 23 countries, across Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Our key office locations are in Nairobi, Kenya and Dubai, UAE.
Our flagship products are Advance Credit Service (ACS), Nano and BNPL.
ACS is an airtime or data advance offered to prepaid mobile subscribers at the point of low credit. ? Nano is a micro cash advance offered to mobile wallet users on demand.
BNPL facilitates payment installments for products and services
As a FinTech company, our business is entirely technology and data driven, from determining subscriber eligibility, generating relevant offers, managing risk, loan issuance, recovery, optimizing performance and reporting, reconciliation and billing.
Each day we process approximately 21M loan requests and 1.4 TB of data across our markets. This process needs to be robust, reliable and secure.
But it doesn’t end there. We’re exploring new ways of using our platform and transactional data to improve our products and develop new product opportunities.
About The Role
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this role will be based in Dubai.The Product Manager will design, validate, develop and launch the new products and ensure the smooth and timely delivery of new features from feasibility into production. The incumbent will interact with both internal and external stakeholders for smooth delivery.. Typically, you will be in contact with external partners, commercial, finance, data profiling and development teams.
Responsibilities | What you’ll do
Identify and finalize product specifications and oversee the product design process from initial ideation stages to final project roll-out and ‘go-live’
Ensure agile product development process, including regular review cycles, small-steps approach for development (waves/phases) and continuously considering feedback from relevant parties
Engage and liaise with relevant external and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of new products and robust operations of existing ones
Prepare frameworks to measure and track profitability of existing products
Carry out necessary consumer and market research and analysis to help drive future decision-making processes and build growth strategies
Perform market sizing exercises and analyze market trends to help LendTech accurately position itself in the market and develop strategies accordingly
Ensure high partner satisfaction levels by continuous monitoring and analysis of feedback from partners
Carry out competitor and market research, identifying any competitive edge they (are expected) to have and any competitive products they (are expected to) launch
Hands-on project management to lead product design, development, test, and release by coordinating with the development teams.
Continuously improve customer experience to establish Lendtech as an industry leader. ? Lead the Growth agenda for new products and revenue streams.
Lead the development and maintenance of appropriate collateral including user guides, presentations, marketing content, and demos.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
Requirements | What we are looking for
Qualifications & Essential Experience
Master’s / bachelor’s degree in computer science or business administration
Candidate must be bilingual and fluent in written/ spoken English & French
Excellent product development and product management skills.
Should have been practicing agile product development methodologies
Expertise in conducting design workshops with the partners as well as internal teams. ? Self-motivated, thorough, good communication and presentation skills
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
The ability to work quickly, under pressure, and to meet deadlines
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, where technology is constantly changing. ? Must be patient, meticulous, and logical in their work and capable of prioritising tasks.
