Position Overview:

The FinOps Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of an organization. This role involves ensuring the efficient execution of financial processes, compliance with regulations, and optimizing financial systems to support the company’s overall goals. The FinOps Manager will lead a team responsible for various financial tasks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Process Management:

Develop, implement, and improve financial procedures, controls, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee the merchant payable and loans receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of settlements, payments, and collections.
Monitor and manage cash flow to optimize working capital and ensure sufficient liquidity.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and forecasts for internal stakeholders and senior management.
Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
Identify and communicate financial trends, issues, and potential areas for improvement.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Allocate tasks, set objectives, and manage workloads to achieve departmental goals.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with other departments such as Controllership, Sales, and Operations to support business objectives and resolve financial-related issues.
Partner with the Tech team to implement and enhance financial systems and tools to streamline processes.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
Identify and mitigate financial risks, proposing solutions and preventative measures.

Process Optimization:

Continuously assess and improve financial systems, workflows, and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Implement automation solutions where appropriate to streamline repetitive tasks.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate financial data and insights.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

Manage relationships with financial service providers, payment gateways, banks, and external partners.
Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies during financial audits and examinations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
Proven experience (5+ years) in financial management, operations, or a related role, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.
Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards.
Proficiency in financial software, ERPs, and MS Office; experience with data analysis and visualization tools is beneficial.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Adaptability to evolving business needs and a fast-paced environment.
